Luxius came to fruition when our Founder’s biggest role model committed suicide in 2019. This was the first time he realized just how dangerous it is to mask our emotions. So many of us suffer in silence, we hide the wars we wage in our heads, and aren’t open about the battles we are enduring behind closed doors.
Luxius detests the act of masking our emotions.
This is where the slogan “Shatter the Mask” came from.
We believe that everyone should be open about the experiences they are going through. In a group effort, the more normal it is to communicate our problems- the less people will hide their struggles. With an increase in openness around our endeavors, more people will get the help they need. Whether it's support from a community of like-minded individuals, counseling, or hope. Luxius plans to become a deliverer of light. The shattered mask is to be a beacon representing hope.
The embrace of the idea that when all is dark, you are meant to find the light. If it cannot be found, it must be created.
For those who are shrouded in darkness,

Luxius means “Light”
Luxius represents hope in the embrace of our darkest moments.
To find the light means to find hope amongst despair.
Our brand is for those who choose to persist through their struggles
and be the light for those in the dark.
For those who have known darkness themselves, and made it through.
And for those who were in the dark, and didn’t make it out.
We choose to carry on for those who are no longer with us.

Meet Yuuki (“You-Key”)
Yuuki is a Hannya mask from Japanese Tradition, and our mascot for Luxius.
The Hannya mask represents the depth and complexity of our emotions.
Yuuki dons a wide smile, but upon looking at the eyes, you can see the pain
which lies behind the mask.
Yuuki is meant to embody the metaphorical mask we humans wear on a daily basis.
Our struggles go unseen, often until it’s too late.
By embracing our emotions and accepting reality, we shatter the mask we wear.
What lies behind the mask may be shattered, but it isn’t ruined.
“Kintsugi” is an art technique that involves the rebuilding of broken pottery using gold.
The remade piece is then placed on display for admiration;
for what has been broken is beautiful.
This process, the reformation using gold, is a celebration of healing in the face of tragedy.
The name Yuuki means “Valiant”
It’s composed of two parts:
“Yuu” means to possess Courage & Bravery.
“Ki” means Heart.
Those who don the shattered mask are embracing what’s inside of all of us.
Our Heart, Emotions, and Courageous Spirit is what makes us the Light for those in the Dark.
